Since 1985, it was the first year that the new vineyard were plant, Planeta pointed its attention on three important direction: the installation and the adaptation of the best international vines, the recovery of the D.O.C vines the most charming and old of Sicily, and the experimentation of some variety vines from the rest of Italy on the territory of Sicily. The realization of these three projects is taken place on the territories of Sambuca of Sicily (AG), Menfi (AG), Noto (SR) and Vittoria (RG). These are the jewels of the cellar: 300 hectare of vineyard set in the best under belt of Sicily, that, thanks to Alessio, Francesco and Santi Planeta the ones who manage the family firm with the help of the great oenologist, who comes from Piemonte like Carlo Corino, are producing wines which are the best of the new Sicilian oenology.
